Three Down...

The kids are sick. I am sick.
It's a big sick mess.
I hope to blog later this week but for now I am just keeping my head above water.

What is The Parenting Myth?

It's two things.
Firstly, it's my book. Written because I couldn't find the book I wanted when I became a parent. I wanted brutal honesty. I wanted a community that I could go to when my baby was napping. I wanted humor.
Secondly, it's all those things people tell you parenting will and/or should be:
Easy - not true. The best thing you'll ever do - true but with hundreds of caveats. It comes naturally - just completely false. Rewarding, fulfilling, fun - yes, but what about underpaid, under appreciated and exhausting.
I'm just saying - let's balance the scale. Let's not be afraid to tell all sides of the story.
Let's support each other and TRY not to judge, criticize or mock.
Let's let parents tell their stories, experiences, successes and failures but not set them as a benchmark.
Let's have a laugh (and a cry if we need to) while we do it.
Also, let's get me published. Anyone?
